“Celebrate the top 25 entries to Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego’s 25 and Under Art Contest!
The annual 25 and Under Art Contest celebrates Qualcomm Foundation’s longstanding, generous gift of free gallery admission for all individuals ages 25 and younger. The contest invites young artists to submit their original work for the chance to win $500 in Blick Art Materials supplies, and be featured in a Showcase at the Museum. The public is invited to vote in person for their favorite work at the Showcase event, and winners will be announced shortly after.
Now in its eighth year, MCASD’s 25 and Under Art Contest invites young artists to submit original artwork for the chance to be featured in a special Showcase at the Museum, win a year-long Membership, take home a $500 Blick gift certificate, and more. The contest celebrates MCASD's FREE year-round admission for all art lovers age 25 and younger, thanks to generous support from Qualcomm Foundation.
The 2019 25 and Under Art Contest theme is “Sanctuary," inspired by the recent exhibition Sanctuary Print Shop by Sergio De La Torre and Chris Treggiari.”
From the 25 entries, four winners will be selected in two categories: Curator’s Choice (First Place and Honorable Mention), which are selected by an MCASD curator, and People’s Choice (First Place and Honorable Mention), both of which are chosen based on Facebook “likes” and on-site votes at the showcase event. “
